Red is the traditional colour for flowers and is also widely used for borders, flashed reds are regarded as the best available, giving a certain amount of variation in colour, there is also a red on clear streaky flashed glass that is unrivalled in its beauty when used in Art Nouveau flower designs. Flashed reds and rose reds are softer and more aged in look than other reds.
